The Hartmann HydroTac is a sterile, single-use wound dressing designed to manage wounds during the granulation and epithelialization phases, particularly those with low to moderate exudation. The dressing features a gas-permeable, waterproof, and bacteria-resistant outer layer made of polyurethane. Its wound-facing surface has a mesh structure impregnated with a hydrogel, creating a moisture reservoir that aids in wound healing.

The hydrogel consists of a hydrated polyurea/polyurethane hybrid polymer containing propylene glycol, which prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, enabling painless and atraumatic dressing changes. The HydroTac Foam Dressing can absorb wound exudate and release moisture, maintaining an optimal moist wound environment that promotes healing.
